Just months after Governor Pritzker and his allies raised taxes by $1 billion to pay for over $1 billion in free benefits for non-citizens, Illinois is facing a $3.2 billion budget deficit.

State spending has grown by more than 30% under Gov. Pritzker, fueled by temporary federal aid he misspent, bringing the budget to a record $53 billion.

Illinois families are struggling to make ends meet and can’t afford to pay for Gov. Pritzker’s budget mess. Senator Curran is urging Gov. Pritzker to commit to introducing no new taxes on families in the upcoming budget.
